Lady Bug

Name: Lady Bug

Sex: Female

Breed: Pug x Jack Russell

Age: 12

Size: Small

If you enjoy waking in the morning to a wagging tail and a big smile then look no further.

Ladybug is just the happiest little butterball, she lives everyday with pure gratefulness and you will too if you have this little lady in your life.

A carefree, kind and sweet girl, Ladybug enjoys a good cuddle on the couch, a wander around the neighbourhood and mostly, above all… dinnertime! Arriving into our care a little worse for wear, Ladybug had two large masses removed from her belly. One mass was benign and has healed well, the other sadly was malignant but with good margins taken and no sign of any spreading our vet believes that she will continue to live a normal life. It is however important to note that should any lumps or bumps arise her new family have them seen and removed by a vet.

Ladybug is a really low maintenance girl who would fit into a multi dog home or would be just as content as a single dog. Her coat is short and shedding and only requires the occasional brush and bath. She is housetrained and requires access inside at all times, a comfy bed and at least 10 belly rubs a day!

Ladybug comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $495. Ladybug is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Ladybug please email Denise

Gorgeous George

Name: Gorgeous George

Sex: Male

Breed: Maltese Poodle Mix

Age: 10

Size: Small

Gorgeous George is an absolute sweetie. He’s a wonderful walker on a lead. Aways very sociable with other dogs he meets, large or small and would be best with another dog as he doesn’t like to be left alone. He loves children who are gentle with him so even grandchildren would keep him happy. Gorgeous George responds well to positive guidance/training and is learning new things every day. One of his great loves is the car. Always first in and difficult to get out. In his previous life, he was an outside dog and is now figuring out the difference between inside and outside. This boy has a lot of love to give.

George is a house dog and will require access via a doggie door or similar, his coat will grow and need regular grooming.

Gorgeous George comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $495. Gorgeous George is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Gorgeous George please email Denise

Pop & Lolly

Name: Pop & Lolly

Sex: Male & Female

Breed: Papillon Maltese Mix & Poodle Maltese Mix

Age: 9 & 11

Size: Small

Lolly and Pop were surrendered to DAP due to a tragedy in their family that meant their owners could no longer care for them.

Lolly and Pop are two very sweet little dogs, they are a bonded pair and have lived together for most of their lives so for that reason we will only rehome them together. Lolly has a beautiful nature and just wants to be up in your arms getting cuddles and attention, Pop is also adorable and takes his job of looking after Lolly very seriously. Lolly and Pop would suit a home with a retired couple or a working couple, they are currently living with foster carers who work and enjoy life in their dog beds sleeping while their carers are away during the day. They are not barkers and are house trained. Lolly and Pop enjoy going on short walks around the block and get lots of compliments from those passing them by. Lolly does have some arthritis in her back legs, it is very important to note that her new family will need to be able to continue medicating her to reduce any potential pain this may cause her, due to her arthritis she will do best in a home with fewer stairs and the snuggest of beds!

Lolly and Pop has just been freshly groomed for their photos and we think they look pretty good. They will require regular tidy ups to keep them looking and feeling fresh and clean. Lolly and Pop are house dog and require access inside via a doggie door or similar.

Lolly and Pop come desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, they have both had dentals and are on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $800 for the pair. Lolly and Pop are not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Lolly and Pop please email Denise

Bikini is another of our cute little rescue dogs, she was so called because we think she is Itsy Bitsy! Mickey & Minnie

Name: Mickey & Minnie

Sex: Male & Female

Breed: Chihuahua Mix & Maltese Mix

Age: 10 years

Size: Small

“Mickey and Minnie were left at the pound with no one coming to claim them. Very sad for these two older dogs who have had their whole world tipped upside down. They are approximately 8 and 10 years old but very spritely for their age.

Mickey and Minnie are a bonded pair so must go to a new home together, we will not split them as Mickey does fret if his partner-in-crime is not close by.

These two little cuties are currently living with foster carers who work full time, feedback is that they enjoy the day in the garden or sleeping in their dog bed together while their carers are away during the day. They are very loving dogs and get very excited when they see you first thing and when you return from work. Mickey loves his tummy being tickled and Minnie enjoys her head being rubbed. They are very loving dogs that like to sit by your side or follow you around the garden. They are very passive dogs and have shown no aggression.

Mickey and Minnie are little house dogs requiring access via a doggie door or similar. They will suit a quieter home with a family/retiree who will give them all of the love and care they have sadly missed out on over the years. They would suit a home where there are no other dogs. They are extremely good with people and are happy to socialise when they are out and about but could do with further lead training.

Mickey and Minnie come desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, are on flea, worm and heartworm prevention, and have also had a dental. The adoption fee is $800. Mickey and Minnie are not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Mickey and Minnie please email Denise

Zinnia

Name: Zinnia

Sex: Female

Breed: Pomeranian German Spitz Mix

Age: 10 months

Size: Small

Zinnia is a Pomeranian – German Spitz mix. Zinnia was surrendered to a specialist vet clinic for euthanasia as she has a neurological condition, her owners were not in a financial position to pay a specialist neurologist to investigate her condition and to give a diagnosis. DAP were asked to take Zinnia on and of course we agreed to help her and to find Zinnia a new home.

The first stop for Zinnia was to see Patrick the neurologist at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Sydney. Patrick did lots of testing, viewed video’s of Zinnia while she was having her “events” and he came to the conclusion that Zinnia’s problem is probably related to the movement part of her brain. She is going back to see Patrick in another week as we have more video’s of her “events” for him to watch and hopefully get a definitive diagnosis. Zinnia appears to be epileptic but Patrick does not believe that she is, she is currently on medication but that may not be long term. Zinnia’s “events” are not frequent, it appears that once she settles into a new environment they happen less and less.

Zinnia is a free spirit, she is very young and behaves like any other dog of her age. We want Zinnia to have a young, playful MALE dog in her new home and to get lots of attention and exercise. Zinnia can be overwhelming for dogs who are older and that is why we want to rehome her with a young dog. Zinnia’s coat does shed and it requires regular brushing and grooming to keep it tangle free. She is a house dog and must have access via a doggie door at all times.

Zinnia comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and
heartworm prevention. Zinnia has also had 2 consultations with a neurologist and lots of testing done as she suffers with a neurological condition. The adoption fee is $495. Zinnia is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Zinnia please email Denise

Camille

Name: Camille

Sex: Female

Breed: Terrier Mix

Age: 10

Size: Small

If you’d love a tiny companion, Camille is your girl. She is cute as a button and loves cuddles & kisses. While timid and still finding her way Camille is friendly, walks great on the lead wonderful in the carand will sleep quietly through the night.

Camille is currently in foster care with 2 small male dogs and two small female dogs. She does likes to pal around more with one of the little males. A home with no other dogs or one small male would most suit Camille. Camille does like to sniff around in the garden and is very sprightly for her years and has mastered the doggy door like a pro.

Camille is only 3 kilos and loves her food, a home where there is company at home more often than not would be most suitable and with no young children, a retired couple or work from home family would be ideal.

Camille’s coat is lovely and soft and will require regular grooming, Camille is a joy to groom and has no issue with bathing and having her nails done.

Camille comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and

Hank

Name: Hank

Sex: Male

Breed: Kelpie Staffy Mix

Age: 3

Size: Large

Hank needs to find a new home urgently as his owner has had to move into a home unit. His owners are very sad but Hank really does need a back yard to mooch around in and a home unit just doesn’t cut it.

Hank is a very handsome lad with a wonderful nature, he gets along famously with humans of all ages and especially loves children. He is an active dog and will require regular exercise in his new home.

Hank is really good with other large dogs when he is at the dog park and he doesn’t mind playing with dogs who are smaller than him either. When he is on lead Hank may bark at other dogs to get their attention so that he can have a sniff and get to know them. In some dogs this can be typical behaviour if they have not been trained appropriately. Hank is a young dog and with the right owner will do well with some training in that area.

Hank comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $295.00 Hank is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Hank, please email Denise

Sundae

Name: Sundae

Sex: Female

Breed: Cattle

Age: 1

Size: Medium when fully grown

SUNDAE is an enthusiastic, hilarious tripod dog. She has an undeniable zest for life, loves everyone and everything and is completely fearless. Sundae arrived into our care with a bad limp to her front leg, it was quickly discovered that she had an old fracture that had been left unattended and after vet investigation and discussion with multiple specialists we made the decision to amputate as it was causing her pain and discomfort. After her surgery Sundae woke up running, having three legs is certainly not something that has dampened her spirit. Sundae lives with 5 other dogs both big and small, she gets along well with all of them, including the resident cat. Sundae gets walked daily at the local dog beach where she runs, swims and plays with any dog up for a game. She is energetic, however tires reasonably quickly after her daily outing. Sundae is still very much a puppy, she is learning her manners and will need ongoing training to ensure she keeps out of trouble. Sundae is ideally looking for a home with another playful dog, she is great with children however does have a tendency to jump so older children would be better suited to her. Her new home, ideally would have minimal stairs, although she can get up and down stairs without issues the long term impact on her remaining front leg wouldn’t be the best. Sundae will need a good diet to keep her weight down so to not negatively impact her joints, she has a short shedding coat and only requires the occasional bath to keep her smelling fresh! She is house trained and requires access inside at all times.

Sundae comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Sundae is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Sundae please email Denise
