Rosie

Name: Rosie

Sex: Female

Breed: Harrier/Beagle Mix

Age: 1 Year

Size: Medium

Extra special, fabulous, busy body seeks family who is much the same!

World meet Rosie!  This Harrier Hound, Beagle mix is ready to party and is looking for a family that gets that having a Harrier Hound is more than having a dog it’s a lifestyle!

Rosie came to us after she had performed some pretty incredible escapes from her home.  Currently, in care with a large mix of different dogs, Rosie is everybody’s friend but her one true love is getting her sniff on! She thinks nothing is better than using that snoot to seek out all the good and not so good smells of the world.

Ideally, Rosie would be rehomed with a family that knows hounds and can provide her with a lot of enrichment, keep up with training and provide her with lots of exercise.  She would make an ideal working/sports dog as she very much needs a job to help her feel enriched and happy.

Rosie is a house dog and must have access via a doggie door or similar at all times.   Her coat does shed and will only require a bath and a brush to keep it looking great.

Rosie is a lot of dog but we know that her perfect fit is out there… PS: Isn’t Rosie a total stunner

Rosie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Rosie is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Rosie please email Denise

Cookie

Name: Cookie

Sex: Female

Breed: Poodle

Age: 9 Years

Size: Small

Say a big hello to Cookie

Cookie is around 9 years of age and came to us under duty of care from Blacktown Pound.    She was in a shocking state,  her hair was filthy and terribly matted and she had severe dental disease!   Even though there was the risk that she could still go home we did Cookie’s dental immediately so that she would be out of pain and comfortable.   We were very relieved when her owner did not come for her and we could continue on with the rest of Cookie’s vet work.

Cookie is now ready for her forever family,  and we are hoping that an experienced Poodle person who knows all about Poodles and their quirks will see her listing.

Cookie is a super sweet, super snuggly little lady who is most comfortable on the couch right next to her human.  She does have anxious tendencies and will need a family who will give her time to settle in and relax.  Cookie currently lives with two other little dogs, she gets along well with them however she really enjoys being the centre of attention so needs a fairly cool, calm and relaxed doggy friend.  Cookie would also be ok as an only dog providing she was not left alone all day every day for hours on end.

Cookie has a high maintenance coat and as you can tell by her photo she needed to be clipped right down to the skin due to severe matting.  Cookie will require regular grooming and brushing to prevent this from ever happening again. Cookie is a house dog and will require access via a doggie door or similar at all times.

Cookie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Cookie is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Cookie please email Denise

Miss Peaches & Custard

Name: Miss Peaches & Custard

Sex: Females

Breed: French Bulldog & Pug

Age: 6 Years both

Size: Small

Introducing dynamic duo, Miss Peaches and Custard!

These two gorgeous girls are an incredible delight, they are just as sweet as their names suggest and will make the perfect pair for a family looking for some cuddle bugs to call their own.

Miss Peaches the French Bulldog is very affectionate, loving a cuddle at any given opportunity. Custard the Pug is the more independent of the two but make no mistake, she’s also up for a snuggle on the couch. Both girls are very attached to each other, they are more often than not found asleep together in their bed… an activity they thoroughly enjoy.

Miss Peaches and Custard have adapted well to life in foster care, their house training is coming along very well and with consistency will have it mastered pretty soon. Due to their flat faces, they are very heavy snorers so have been taught to sleep in the living area so everyone gets a good nights rest, Custard does have a tendency to have a late night burst of energy (secret cat, perhaps?) but Miss Peaches doesn’t stir.

They both enjoy a little stroll but are not overly energetic, they are a bit anxious in the car as we believe it is not something they are use to, so will need a patient family to help them realise it’s usually the way to get somewhere super fun.

Health: Both girls have been used as breeding dogs prior to rescue so their new family will need to be vigilant of any lumps and bumps that may appear, Peaches has already had a suspicious lump removed. They arrived with ear infections and although this is now cleared up, it is something that may prop up again. Both girls are quite small in stature and are a good weight, their new family will need to feed them a good, high quality diet and make sure to keep their weight down so they can breath easy and live long, happy lives!

Miss Peaches and Custard both have short shedding coats, they will need regular cleaning of their facial folds and must have access inside at all times.

Peaches & Custard comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $1200. Peaches & Custard is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Peaches & Custard please email Denise

Turtle

Name: Turtle

Sex: Male

Breed: French Bulldog

Age: 6 Years

Size: Small

A one in a million dog, seeks one in a million family!

Turtle is a fun, fabulous and super cute, little squish face Frenchie! He is always ready for a good time, loves to run, lovesss to play with toys and lovesssss to curl up next to you on the couch.

Turtle was recently diagnosed with Spina Bifida a condition he has had since birth, this means Turtle has a malformation in his lower spine which affects his bowel and as a result he is both urinary and faecally incontinent. Turtle has been this way since he was born, it is his normal and he is completely oblivious as to wether he’s doing a number 1 or 2 but this is manageable with the use of nappies!

Turtle currently wears a nappy when he is inside and is crate trained for night time. During the day he spends some time, nappy free outside and provided he’s got his toys and a bit of sunshine, he’s a pretty happy camper.

The neurologist at SASH do not believe that Turtle will have any further complications from his condition, he can run, jump, spin and flip without issue, in fact Turtle is quite agile for a dog built like a brick. Turtle doesn’t bark but he sure does snore, he is a super sweet boy that gets on with every dog, cat and person he meets.

We know that it’s going to take someone pretty amazing to adopt a special needs dog like Turtle boy but we know whoever does will be fiercely rewarded with a whole pile of sweet Frenchie love!

Turtle comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm treated and has had a dental and treatment for skin and ear infections. The adoption fee is $495. Turtle is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Turtle please email Denise

She is currently in foster care with an older small dog and everyday is learning new skills to prepare her for her forever home. Milky sleeps well through the night and her house training is progressing well, her new family must be committed to ongoing training to ensure Milky grows up to be the best doggo she can be. We think that Milky is an ideal candidate for a family looking to involve their dog in all aspects of their everyday life, from cafes to camping trips, kids soccer games and just at home, when you want to chill on the couch. Milky is a great all round puppy and with a committed family will be an awesome dog. Pryia

Name: Pryia

Sex: Female

Breed: Maltese

Age: 5 Years

Size: Small

Princess Pryia is certainly very deserving of her crown!

Pryia came to us from the pound a very neglected little dog, but, after two months of continual medication and other treatments she is looking and feeling great.

Pryia enjoys living with her foster Mum and two young children (school age). Her new life is great and we expect to Pryia to find a home where her Princess Crown will remain intact and she will be loved, cared for, walked and played with for the rest of her days.

Pryia can be rehomed as an only dog providing her family DO NOT GO OUT TO WORK EVERDAY AND LEAVE HER, or she will be unhappy and probably bark. Pryia can be a dominant little Princess so a home with a MALE DOG will be best, (she loves the boys) Please don’t apply to adopt Pryia if your dog is a female.

Pryia may be a little nervous when visitors first arrive at her foster home so we suggest that they give her some treats and speak softly to her reassuring Pryia that they are not going to do her any harm.

Pryia is a house dog and must have access via a doggie door or open door at all times of the day and night. She has a high maintenance coat that will require regular grooming and bathing. Pryia is house trained.

Pryia comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm treated and has had a dental and treatment for skin and ear infections. The adoption fee is $495. Pryia is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Pryia please email Denise

Sundae

Name: Sundae

Sex: Female

Breed: Cattle

Age: 1

Size: Medium

Sweet, delicious Sundae.

A three legged, whirlwind with a big personality and an even bigger smile.

Sundae is the life of every party and she hasn’t yet met a person she can’t make laugh. Sundae arrived into care as a young pup with an old unattended fracture in her front right leg, after vet investigation and specialist consultation, it was deemed inoperable and her best bet moving forward was to have her leg amputated as it caused her considerable pain. Adjusting to life on three legs was a breeze for Sundae, she gets around without issue, runs like the wind and whilst prone to some pretty impressive high speed stacks, she just gets up and keeps on going.

Living in a very busy multi dog household, Sundae is mostly found wrestling her foster brothers and sisters or snoozing on the couch. Whilst she thinks she is completely invincible, her new family would need to sometimes encourage her to take it easy and remind her that her body is a temple and not a crash test dummy.

Sundae enjoys daily walks, she can pull on leash as she needs to keep up a bit of a momentum in order to stay upright but she does have reasonable recall and does well off leash. Whilst Sundae generally gets along with other dogs, she can be a bit of a ‘full on’ greeter and is learning some manners when meeting new dogs out and about, she is not really a dog-park-dog and is better suited being walked in large open areas where she can be encouraged to make good choices.

Sundae would greatly benefit from a family that has dog experience, even better in working breed experience. Sundae is very sure of herself and can be quite clear in what she likes and dislikes. Whilst she thinks she can run for days, her body does get tired and she needs to be carefully monitored so she doesn’t overdo it and negatively impact her remaining front leg. Sundae has been to semi-regular physio and massage appointments, something we feel her new family should keep up with to help keep her comfortable and in tip top shape. She loves children but she can be a bit much for small kids, so feel it’s best everyone in the family is in the double digits.

Her short shedding coat is easily maintained and only requires the occasional brush and bath, she enjoys her time outdoors but she’s very much an inside dog and as such must have access inside as she pleases. Sundae is one in a million, she is a dog you simply can’t forget and her home must be just as awesome as she is.

Sundae comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Sundae is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Sundae please email Denise
