Chino

Name: Chino

Sex: Male

Breed: Jack Russell X Chihuahua

Age: 18 Months

Size: Small

Chino could not believe his luck when his foster carer welcomed him inside to be with the family. It didn’t take long for him to discover the lounge and the cosy little blanket which he made into a comfy nest. Chino quickly analysed the doggy door, and he practised going in and out all evening. He was so delighted with his new found freedom, that he grinned from ear to ear!

Although very shy at first, once chino checks you out, he will love you forever and never leave your lap. He is definitely not a fan of the off leash dog park, preferring a brisk trot around the block on lead. He can be a bit reactive to dogs in his face that he doesn’t know, so best to keep him on the move. At home, Chino is so chilled, wanting your lap and your bed, and on a cold night, he makes a fantastic hot water bottle! He is not that interested in toys or balls, but will delight you with a little game here and there. He will twinkle toe after you wherever you go, then look for someone to be his snuggle bunny. Chino is not a barker, but will alert you to any visitors at the door as he should. He really is a cuddly soul and so very easy to love.

Because Chino is only a tiny little chap, it is best he is rehomed with gentle children over ten years old. Chino is a sensitive soul, and will not do well in a noisy, busy household. He would love a little female dog for company, as long as she is friendly and calm. He would also be fine as an only dog, but not if he is going to be left alone daily for many hours, as Chino would be so very lonely. He enjoys car rides with his family, as long as he can relax in a cosy dog bed with his blankey.

Chino is a house dog and must always have indoor/outdoor access whenever he wants through a doggy door or similar. A quick brush every couple of days will keep any loose hair controlled, as he does shed a little.

Chino come desexed,  microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested.   The adoption fee is $495 . Chino will not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT).  If you would like further information on Chino please email Denise.

Fun, vivacious and ready for action! Meet your new best friend, Alfie!

Alfie is a Jack Russell x Kelpie, he has short legs, a long body and ears that can hear you from any which direction. His sweet nature cannot be ignored, he is irresistibly pattable and loves to be loved.

Alfie is a great dog who thrives with clear and kind direction and he would thrive with a family that knows working breed dogs. This beautiful boy is housetrained, crate-trained, and kid friendly, he’s a bit of a rockstar, really!

Bok Choy

Name: Bok Choy

Sex: Male

Breed: Chihuahua X

Age: 4 years

Size: Small

If you like your dogs super affectionate and super cute, you may have found your match!

Bok Choy Or Boki as he’s affectionately known is a chihuahua mix of some description! He has the worlds cutest snaggle tooth and big beautiful eyes that make resisting his endless requests for a comfy lap impossible to resist.

Bok Choy arrived into our care from a rural pound, what his former life was like, we’re not sure but we don’t think it was a very pleasant one so Boki does have a few little quirks that need an understanding and patient family. Having improved dramatically in foster care, Boki still has a tendency to mouth when he’s over excited but with clear and kind guidance this can only get better.

Bok Choy’s favourite activity is snuggling on the couch with his humans, he also enjoys pottering around outside and going for casual strolls in the sunshine. Best suited to a quiet, calm home, Boki would prefer a home with older children and a family home more often than not. He happily lives with two female dogs but does take a minute to warm up to new furry pals. His coat is short and sweet, it does shed and requires minimal brushing to keep him looking fabulous.

Bok Choy must have access inside as he pleases, his housetraining is progressing well but does need a bit of continued effort to ensure he doesn’t ‘forget’ in a new home.

Bok Choy comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Bok Choy is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Bok Choy please email Denise.

Gecko

Name: Gecko

Sex: Male

Breed: Chihuahua X

Age: 5 Months

Size: Very Small

If you love your dogs tiny but mighty, look no further than your boy, Gecko!

Gecko is a 2.4 kgs of pure fun! His teeny tiny body houses a big personality, which is not only charming but totally irresistible. His love for his foster mum is huge (the feelings mutual) but it also extends to his fur foster family, made up of dogs big and small. Gecko has taken a firm stance as sidekick to the resident Chihuahua, Bean and the two are most often found wrestling or napping together.

Currently attending a positive reinforcement-based puppy school, Gecko has learnt so much in his time in foster care, which doesn’t just include the usual sit, stay, down stuff, he also has quite a few tricks up his sleeve! This little guy is super smart, he picks up things quite fast and is brave to try new things. Despite not being the typical ‘sports dog’ his foster carer thinks he’d be a great candidate for someone interested in perhaps dabbling in a bit of trick dog training, agility or noseworks. If you are looking for a little lap dog, that just wants to sit beside you on the couch and potter around the garden, Gecko is not your boy… and whilst he does like a snuggle in your arms, he really loves to keep himself busy!

Gecko is highly food motivated, in fact he eats so fast he needs to eat out of puzzle toys and go-slow bowls so he doesn’t make himself sick. He currently sleeps in a crate soundly at night and his toilet training is progressing but will take a little while longer before he totally gets it.

Here’s an outline of what home we feel is best for Gecko:

* A home with another dog is a must! Whilst Gecko does get along with dogs of all sizes, a dog on the smaller side interested in playing is most ideal.

* Gecko arrived into care very malnourished, he is currently on a BARF (raw food) diet, which has helped him become stronger and more energetic, a family that will be committed to feeding a high-quality diet is essential.

* Whilst Gecko is quite a confident boy, he is very small and we would prefer no children under 10 in the home.

* Preference will be given to someone who is able to help transition him into his new home, adopting him on the weekend and going back to work full time on Monday, ideally a plan will be in place to help Gecko feel comfortable and safe before being left alone for long periods.

* Daily walks and outings are essential; Gecko is a social guy and loves to get out and about.

To apply for Gecko, please shoot us an email and we will forward you an ‘adoption application’ as we anticipate that Geckos will have a large number of enquires.  Please allow up to a week post application for a response. We try our best to be fast and efficient but these enquires might take us a hot minute.

Gecko comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Gecko is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Gecko please email Denise

Roger

Name: Roger

Sex: Male

Breed: Maltese X

Age: 12 Years

Size: Small

Forever the gentle man, Roger is everything you could ever want and more! Cool, calm and collected, he is just an absolute gem and makes the perfect house guest!

Roger came into care very much ‘worse for wear’. A little, skinny, timid, old man who had no idea what was happening in his world and not sure if things would be ok. Unfortunately, he is still under weight, not through lack of feeding, but because sometimes he just doesn’t want to eat or, god forbid, they might have hidden a tablet in his food and he can smell it and doesn’t want a bar of it.

Roger has so much love to give and thrives with a little caring buddy who gives him confidence and comfort, so he definitely needs a chilled mate to help him feel safe and loved.

He has no bad habits. He doesn’t bark excessively, he is house trained, and he has the sweetest of natures. He loves a walk and for his age does very well. He needs someone to take care of him with lots of love and patience and he will thrive as a result.

Roger needs access inside when his family are home and has a coat that will require regular brushing to avoid matting. We know that the perfect retirement home is out there for Roger.

Roger comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Roger is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Roger please email Denise

Alvin

Name: Alvin

Sex: Male

Breed: Pug x Jack Russell

Age: 4 Years

Size: Small

ALVIN WILL BE BEST SUITED TO A HOME WITH CHILDREN OVER 13 YEARS, AND AS THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME.

A 4 year old Jack Russel X Pug, Alvin is a total sweetheart. Who could resist his huge underbite and big round eyes!

After leaving the stress of the pound behind, he settled into his foster home incredibly quickly, and his personality began to shine through.

Alvin is a little ball of energy who loves nothing more than a good game of tug-o-war with his toy zebra and the occasional case of the “zoomies”! Walking with his humans is also among his favourite activities – he loves to frolic in the grass and smell all the smells. His foster parents have walked all over the city with him and his little legs have not tired (though he does enjoy a solid nap afterwards!)

He is a huge snuggle-bug, and when he does tire, he can often be found napping with his humans on the couch. In fact, given the choice, he’ll choose your lap over the couch! Cuddling is his specialty.

He needs a family who is committed to positive reinforcement, as he will require ongoing training. He hasn’t had much training in his life to date. While he’s well on his way, he is not completely house trained. He has a feet/ankle nibbling tendency which his foster family is working on. Although he’s fine with most dogs, we recommend exposure to dogs under supervision.  Alvin would love a home where he is not left alone every day of the week.

Alvin is a house dog and must have access via a doggie door or similar 24 hours a day.

Alvin comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Alvin is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Alvin please email Denise

Mr Muscles

Name: Mr Muscles

Sex: Male

Breed: French Bulldog x Pug

Age:  4 months

Size: Small

This boy is 100% pure squishy faced love!

Mr Muscles is one tough cookie, bulldozing his way into any situation but most importantly our hearts! Our little muscle man is half French Bulldog, half Pug, his personality is an even split between the two… he is silly, he is vivacious, he loves to play and he certainly loves to nap, plonking his body down anywhere he sees fit for a bit of shut eye.

Surrendered to the pound at 11 weeks of age along with his sister Ms Snuffles, Mr Muscles arrived a bit confused and worried… after a few weeks in foster care his personality has blossomed, he is keen to greet any and all visitors whether they are big or small, dog or cat! He has settled into family life, spending all day racing around ‘helping’ in the garden and ‘helping’ in the kitchen and not only can he use the doggy door, he has mastered it… flying straight through at top speed. Mr Muscles has lots of doggy friends, he and his sister spend almost all day plodding along together with other resident doggo, Maize a poodle x who is only a year old and has taught them all the important stuff like how to jump on the lounge for a snuggle, or how to get the best view of what the neighbours are up to through the window.

Mr Muscles will require a bit of nasal widening in a few months to help him breath a bit easier, he has the usual brachycephalic flaws that require a bit of extra care, he also has a sensitive little belly and needs a high quality diet.

We have a few absolutes for Mr Muscles so please read carefully to ensure you fit the criteria:

* Mr Muscles will only be rehomed with another dog for company, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a small dog or a squishy faced dog, just a friendly, social dog that doesn’t mind a good wrestle and can help continue to show Mr Muscles the ropes.

* A family committed to ongoing ‘positive reinforcement’ training.

* A family committed to the ongoing expenses that may arise with Mr Muscles, whilst we will cover the costs of his desexing and nasal widening surgery, it is important to note that brachycephalic breeds do tend to know their vets very well.

* Access inside at all times

Preferred but not essential:

* Experience with our flat faced friends.

* Preference is always given to someone home more often than not or who can take their pup to work

To apply for Mr Muscles please shoot us an email and we will forward you an ‘adoption application’ as we anticipate that Mr Muscles will have a large number of enquires.  Please allow up to a week post application  for a response. We try our best to be fast and efficient but these enquires might take us a hot minute.

Elijah

Name: ELIJAH

Sex: Male

Breed: Tibetan Spaniel

Age: 10 Years

Size: Small

Elijah is a beautiful, older gent with a luscious long coat and a face filled with wisdom.

Elijah loves to be outside and can most often be found sunning himself in the garden. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, a collection of small golden oldies. On leash Elijah or Eli as he’s affectionately known can be a bit reactive to new dogs but is progressing well with his training. Being 10 years old, Eli is a bit set in his ways, he knows what he likes and what he doesn’t, he is learning through gentle leadership how to be a well behaved gentleman but he can sometimes be a little bit of a grump so is best in an adult only home.

Eli is a sweet boy, he would best be rehomed with another older canine friend or as an only dog with someone home more often than not who has some experience with caring for seniors. He does have some arthritis but after a course of anti-inflammatory injections is feeling much better, his new family would need to be aware of when he might be feeling a little sore and get him a vet check-up. He might benefit from some daily help with something like Rosehip Vital.

Eli needs access inside when his family are home and has a long coat that requires regular brushing to avoid matting. We know that the perfect retirement home is out there for Eli.

Elijah comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Elijah is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Elijah please email Denise

Dude

Name: Dude

Sex: Male

Breed: Staffy Mix

Age: 7 Months

Size: Medium

If you like your dogs, drop dead gorgeous… look no further!

Dude the dog is not just good looks though, he’s also super smart, loves a cuddle and is so endearing you can’t help but fall totally in love at first meet. Dude is currently in care with an older, small dog and is loving life with his loving foster family.  He spends his days, playing with his toys and cuddling on the couch, he enjoys a good daily walk and is learning that the big wide world is not as scary as he first thought.  Dude has been working really hard with help from a force free trainer about how to deal with life in the busy city,  he has been doing really well and is now a certified ‘good boy’ !!!

Dude does get a bit frightened meeting new dogs so needs a slow introduction,  but once he knows that the dog is a friend and not out to scare him, he’s ready for a good old fashioned rumble. Dude has learnt lots of new skills in foster care and everyday gets more confident, he is now ready to continue his journey with a forever family who will keep up with his training out and about. He would love a new dog friend in his family who he can play with, but might suit being an only dog should his family be home more often than not. Dude is not a large staffy, he’s more in the medium category and has a short shedding coat that requires little maintenance. He must have access inside as this is what he is accustomed to.

Dude comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm treated. The adoption fee is $495. Dude is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Dude please email Denise

PJ( Pyjamas)

Name: PJ (Pyjamas)

Sex: Male

Breed: Staffy Mix

Age: 7 Months

Size: Medium

“G’day! My name is Pyjamas, but my friends call me PJ
I was found locked up in the pound but luckily the lovely Lisa from Denise at Paws Inc. saved me. I was pretty scared of life at first but now I’ve realised that life can actually be pretty awesome!
Even though I love my foster Ma, I’m hoping to spend my first birthday with my very own hooman family

Most people think I’m a young pup, but the truth is, I’m nearly 1 years old. Ma says people think I’m so young because I’m so small, but she says that’s a good thing. She said I’m basically like a “teacup” staffy, and because I’m so cute, I won’t have any trouble being adopted! I hope she’s right!
So if you’re a family that’s missing a teacup sized Staffy dog in your life, I’ll tell you a bit about myself to see if I’m the one for you

* I LOVE other dogs and I could play with them all day long!
* I LOVE the dog park, and I always come back when I’m called
* I don’t like being on my own very much so I would really like a fur brother or sister to keep me company when you’re at work, OR a Ma or Pa who stays at home most of the time
* I can be a bit shy around new people but once I know you’re nice, I’ll be your best friend and snuggle you to death
* I’m definitely a lap dog and I just love to snuggle with my hooman and dog friends on the couch and in bed.
* I love going in the car so I’m up for an adventure if you are
* But I’m also content to lounge around and watch Netflix with you if you prefer
* I do love to chew, so I’ll need lots of chew toys to keep me happy and away from your favourite shoes
* I’ve never met a cat so I’m not sure if I’d like one or not, but I’m always open to trying new things
* I really love food it’s my favourite thing in the whole world, so I’m very easy to train!
* I’m very good at going outside to the toilet when Ma takes me out, but sometimes if I’m inside and the door is closed, I’m not sure how to tell her that I need to go out, and so I do occasionally have accidents. Ma said it’s okay though and it’s not my fault. When I lived in the pound I had to just go in my kennel so it’s hard for me to understand that the house isn’t a toilet. But I’m getting better with this every day!
* I’m very smart and already know how to Sit and Come, and I would love my new family to teach me more.
* My ears will provide you with endless entertainment because they really do have a mind of their own. Sometimes they are sticky uppy ears, sometimes they are downy dog ears, sometimes they’re somewhere in between. And then sometimes they fold backwards to make me look like a bald baby
* My foster Ma is a dog trainer and she said that my new family can have some free training to help me learn all the rules of my new home (local to northern beaches only)

So if you think you have room in your heart for a bite sized Staffy dog, please please please consider adopting me ❤️🐶🤞🙏
I wish I may, I wish I might, I wish I get a family of my own tonight 🙏🙏❤️❤️” ~ PJ

Pyjamas come desexed,  microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested.   The adoption fee is $495 . Pyjamas will not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT).  If you would like further information on Pyjamas  please email Denise.
