BASSET HOUND LABRADOR MIX
AGE: 18 MONTHS
ADOPT A DOG: BASSIE
With big ears and short legs, Bassie is basically an oversized dachshund!
Bassie is full of joy, mischief and will surely make you smile. Her favourite activity is a good old fashioned wrestling match with her doggy pals, closely followed by using her nose to snuffle about like all good hound dogs do!
At around 18kgs, Bassie is very much a medium sized dog, her coat is short and soft and does shed but that can be minimised with regular brushing. Bassie is fairly energetic, she loves to play and could do it all day, she walks well on leash and needs a decent daily walk to meet her physical exercise needs. Puzzle toys, Kongs and training games are also a favourite of Bassie, she is highly food motivated and would love a home with someone who is interested in having fun whilst doing some training. Ideally her new home will have another playful, robust dog in the home, as we mentioned Bassie LOVES to play, so her new doggy pal must have previous wrestling experience!
Bassie is house trained, crate trained, sleeps well through the night and would absolutely love to find that forever home with an active family looking for a fun, cheeky companion that is going to make them laugh and get out and about!
Bassie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, and on heartworm protection. The adoption fee is $495. Bassie is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Bassie, please email Denise.
BORDER COLLIE – TERRIER MIX
ADOPT A DOG - JESSIE
Jessie is a great dog with a fantastic nature. She has a lot of energy and requires a home with a family who are into exercise/walking their dog every day of the week.
Jessie loves to go to the off leash park and runs all over the place, she is extremely good with other dogs and would like a doggie friend in her home who can keep up with her high energy levels. She is extremely affectionate and loves her Mum and Dad foster carers very much. When she originally arrived into care Jessie was afraid of both males and females but as each day passes she becomes more and more confident. Jessie
is a house dog, she is house trained and uses a doggie door with ease. Her coat will require regular brushing to keep it free from knots.
Are you up for an energetic dog with all the love in the world to give?
Jessie comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and she has had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Jessie is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Jessie, please email Denise
AGE: 11 MONTHS
SIZE: MEDIUM WHEN FULLY GROWN
ADOPT A DOG - SUNDAE
SUNDAE is an enthusiastic, hilarious tripod dog. She has an undeniable zest for life, loves everyone and everything and is completely fearless. Sundae arrived into our care with a bad limp to her front leg, it was quickly discovered that she had an old fracture that had been left unattended and after vet investigation and discussion with multiple specialists we made the decision to amputate as it was causing her pain and discomfort. After her surgery Sundae woke up running, having three legs is certainly not something that has dampened her spirit. Sundae lives with 5 other dogs both big and small, she gets along well with all of them, including the resident cat. Sundae gets walked daily at the local dog beach where she runs, swims and plays with any dog up for a game. She is energetic, however tires reasonably quickly after her daily outing. Sundae is still very much a puppy, she is learning her manners and will need ongoing training to ensure she keeps out of trouble. Sundae is ideally looking for a home with another playful dog, she is great with children however does have a tendency to jump so older children would be better suited to her. Her new home, ideally would have minimal stairs, although she can get up and down stairs without issues the long term impact on her remaining front leg wouldn’t be the best. Sundae will need a good diet to keep her weight down so to not negatively impact her joints, she has a short shedding coat and only requires the occasional bath to keep her smelling fresh! She is house trained and requires access inside at all times.
Sundae comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Sundae is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Sundae, please email Denise

POMERANIAN & TERRIER MIX
AGE: DIEGO 9 YEARS
AGE: FRIEDA 10 YEARS
ADOPT A PAIR - DIEGO AND FRIEDA
DIEGO AND FRIEDA ARE GOLDEN OLDIES
DIEGO is a suave little man, he is sweet, friendly and loves his best friend Frieda more than anything!
Arriving with a severe flea allergy Diego was missing all the hair on his back, but after a few weeks in care his hair is returning to it’s full glory and soon he will look like a million bucks! Don’t let Diego’s little grey face fool you, he is very playful! He and his BFF Frieda play most of the day and after play they sleep for the rest of the day, they are friendly with other dogs but only really have eyes for each other. Diego’s new home must include his girl Frieda, access inside at all times, a comfy spot on the couch, a good diet, short strolls around the neighbourhood and lots of cuddles. He has a high maintenance coat that requires regular grooming to ensure he always looks his best.
FRIEDA is a leggy blond with a sweet, gentle personality.
Her one true love is her best friend Diego, so we are rehoming them as a pair… a ready made family! Frieda arrived in care with severe flea allergy and was missing a lot of hair along her back but after a few weeks of medicated baths, Frieda is looking much better. She spends her days playing with Diego the Pom , sniffing around the garden and napping. She is certainly still spritely for double digits and would benefit from a home that would take both Frieda and Diego for leisurely walks around the neighbourhood. A home where both have access inside at their leisure, a bed big enough for both Frieda and Diego, regular trips to the groomers to ensure they look and feel their best and of course adequate cuddles on the couch is what we are looking for, for this cutie and her counterpart, Diego
Diego and Frieda come desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and have had a dental. The adoption fee is $700 for the pair. Diego and Frieda are not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Diego and Frieda, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - OREO
Oreo is a clever little man who has adjusted to life amazingly well without having any sight. We’re not sure how or when Oreo lost his sight so we took him to see Dr Mark Bilson our Opthamologist of choice for an opinion as to whether any treatment or surgery could be done to give Oreo some vision. Unfortunately the specialist thinks that Oreo’s vision loss is related to his brain and as we don’t have any history on Oreo it is even harder to work out his problem.
Despite his blindness Oreo has adjusted well to his foster carers home, he was initially very unsure about what was happening in his world but with time, love and patience he settled in and has gained lots of confidence.
Oreo’s foster carer recently went on holidays for a week so we had to move him to another carer during that time and Oreo quickly showed his new foster carer just how clever he was. He managed to navigate the very busy back garden and to find his way back up the stairs into the house on the first afternoon. Oreo is completely house trained and will hang on all day until his foster carer comes home and takes him out to toilet.
Oreo would be OK as an only dog with a family who is at home more often than not, or if he had a calm doggie buddy that wouldn’t startle him if his new family were at work during the day.
Oreo must have access to the house at all times via a doggie door or an open door. His coat his fairly low maintenance just requiring a brush and a bath every couple of weeks.
Oreo is a gorgeous little dog with a wonderful placid nature, he was impounded because his owners no longer wanted him, they just opened the gate and let him out…when contacted by the pound to say he was in custody the owners surrendered him.
Oreo comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $495. Oreo is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Oreo, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - HANK
KELPIE STAFFY MIX
Hank needs to find a new home urgently as his owner has had to move into a home unit. His owners are very sad but Hank really does need a back yard to mooch around in and a home unit just doesn’t cut it.
Hank is a very handsome lad with a wonderful nature, he gets along famously with humans of all ages and especially loves children. He is an active dog and will require regular exercise in his new home.
Hank is really good with other large dogs when he is at the dog park and he doesn’t mind playing with dogs who are smaller than him either. When he is on lead Hank may bark at other dogs to get their attention so that he can have a sniff and get to know them. In some dogs this can be typical behaviour if they have not been trained appropriately. Hank is a young dog and with the right owner will do well with some training in that area.
Hank comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $295.00 Hank is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Hank, please email Denise
CAVALIER BEAGLE MIX
ADOPT A DOG - BRONX
Bronx came to us with a torn cruciate ligament on his back leg. His previous owner was unable to afford the surgery so we agreed to take him on, do surgery to fix his painful leg and then rehome him. Bronx is currently living with an older female, once he became used to her he decided that he does like a bit of company so a home with another compatible female dog will be best for him. When he has recovered Bronx will show you just how much he enjoys playing with his ball and other toys, we expect his recovery time from the cruciate surgery will be around 6 weeks so he should be available at the end of April all going well.
Bronx would love a home where he has access via a doggie door or similar, he sleeps inside in his bed and is a fairly low maintenance dog in regards to his coat. Bronx will need a bath and a brush to keep him looking and feeling great. Bronx will also need a nice walk every day once he is fully recovered.
Bronx comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heart worm tested, he has also had a dental and surgery to repair a torn cruciate ligament on his back leg. The adoption fee is $495. Bronx is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Bronx, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - CURLY STU
Curly Stu is one irresistible little dude. Curly is as happy as a clam unaware of the health issues that are currently wracking his tiny little body. (Please read below) We have started the long and costly process of getting Curly back to good health, it might take a while but we have all the time in the world and just want to see Curly pain free and living the best life he possibly can. Curly is not currently available for adoption.
Curly Stu has a grade 4 laterally luxated patella. Patella’s are usually medially luxated but Curly Stu’s is luxated on the outside (lateral)
These are the most severe cases and fortunately are the rarest. The patella is permanently luxated and cannot be manipulated back into the groove. These are the most challenging cases to correct and will require specialist surgery. Curly’s back left leg is affected and must be corrected so that he can walk like a normal dog, at the moment the affected leg gives way causing him pain and discomfort.
Curly Stu also has chronic osteomyelitis in his jaw. Osteomyelitis of the jaw is inflammation of the jawbone (mandible or maxilla). This type of inflammation is most often caused by bacteria due to dental disease as is the case with Curly. Hornsby Vet Hospital removed as many teeth as could safely be removed. He is on antibiotics appropriate to his condition and his mouth will be reviewed two weeks out from the initial surgery. He will require more surgery when the vet knows that his jaw is stable and not in danger of collapsing. Curly has stitches in his jaw where the teeth were removed so as to try and stabilize his jaw. He is on pain relief for both his leg and mouth until we know he is out of pain.
Curly Stu comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, he has had a heart worm test and a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Curly Stu is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Curly Stu, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - FLORIN
MALTESE SHIH TZU MIX
Hello big wide world. My name is Florin and my foster-mum says I’m the sweetest little fellow. My favourite thing to do is to snuggle up with her on the lounge. (Actually, my real favourite is to sleep on her bed, but she only lets me do that when there’s a scary thunderstorm outside. ). I also like going for walks (not too far, about half an hour is perfect for me). I get on OK with other dogs, and I don’t mind meeting people so long as they’re sitting down – I get nervous when they stand up and tower over me. I know how to use a doggy door, and I like being able to go in and out (I got upset when I found I’d been locked out once). I’d be happy to have a home where I was the only dog, or to share with another smallish dog. I haven’t been taught much about coming when I’m called, or walking nicely on a lead, but I’m trying to learn these things in my foster home.
Florins foster carer has this to say – he is really sweet. I think he’s been a loved boy at some point. He knew how to use the doggie door but really did not understand what was happening when I’d set it so he could get out but not back in again. Florin is a bit nervous – as mentioned, particularly when people stand up. I took him to coffee and he was happy to meet people and sit on a couple of other ladies’ laps. He also seemed OK with a guy who was there. But he did not like it when my neighbour came to meet him (my neighbours are thinking of adopting a dog and thought he may suit) and were standing over him And is over 6ft! Florin has a hearty appetite and loves to eat.
Florins new home must have access via a doggie door, he is house trained and has a coat that will require regular grooming to keep him nice and tiday.
Florin comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heart worm tested and he has also had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Florin is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Florin, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - CHLOE
POODLE MALTESE MIX
Chloe was surrendered to the Pound by her owner as her Vet had told her that Chloe had a serious problem with her back legs and would need an MRI. We were told about Chloe’s problem and asked by the Pound to take her in for rescue.
We took Chloe straight to our Vet who suggested that we do x-rays of her spine and back legs first and foremost. The result of the x-rays told us that the bones in her spine and legs are all in the right order and condition and that her problem would be coming from her spinal chord, we were advised by our Vet not to do an MRI as there is nothing that can be done for Chloe anyway. Despite her problem Chloe is a beautiful, happy, playful girl, she is in foster care with other small dogs and enjoys their company. Chloe has a skip in her step (back legs only) and when she wee’s or poo’s she goes around in a circle because she doesn’t have the strength in her back legs to hold herself in one position while toileting. When she is walking or running she does not have a problem as she is moving when doing those things.
Chloe loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster carer and her foster doggie brothers and sisters. She has no idea that she isn’t exactly the same as them so goes about her day enjoying her life like any normal dog. Chloe just pee’s, poo’s and walks differently. Chloe would enjoy a home with another small, friendly and playful dog, and with a family who will love her and look after her forever.
Chloe’s coat will require regular grooming and brushing, she is a house dog and uses a doggie door for access to inside and out.
Chloe comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and she has had x-rays of her spine and back legs. The adoption fee is $495. Chloe is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Chloe, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG : TILLEE & TUPPENCE
TILLEE & TUPPENCE
AGE: 4 & 8
Tillee and Tuppence are a very sweet little pair. Due to unfortunate circumstances their Mum can no longer have them, she contacted DAP via a vet clinic and asked if we would be able to find them a wonderful new home.
Tillee and Tuppence have always been loved dogs, they are completely house trained and use a doggie door with no issues. They are both very friendly and affectionate, good with other dogs and children.
Their diet has always been Hills Science dry food for small dogs their size. They are not used to a wet or raw diet.
Tuppence is quieter and more shy until she knows you (great lap dog), whereas Tilly is very active and playful and loves having the ball thrown for her. They are house dogs and must have access to their new home via a doggie door at all times.
Tillee and Tuppence come desexed, microchipped, C5 Vaccination, and Heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $800 for the pair. Tillee and Tuppence is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Tillee and Tuppence, please email Denise

Simba is a total dreamboat!
The perfect package of puggy love!
Simba is an all round good boy, he loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters, cuddle with his foster mum on the couch and go for adventures to the local beaches and parks where he shows off his swimming skills!
Simba is a pug x cavalier weighing around 15kgs, he is currently on a special diet due to a recent issue with kidney stones but is on the mend and feeling just dandy.
Simba’s ideal home would be one where he has access inside and out as he pleases, another dog for company and a family that are going to love and adore him unconditionally! His new family must be able to take him for a walk daily and if they’re home more often than not, that’s a total bonus!
Simba has a shedding coat that is ever so soft and shiny, he does have facial folds like a pug which will need to be cleaned as necessary. =
Simba is a house dog and would love a home where he will have access via a doggie door or similar.

JACK RUSSELL FOXIE MIX
ADOPT A DOG - MR. PEABODY
Witty, charming and full of spunk, enter in to the wonderful, whimsical world of Mr. Peabody. Not only is he the village clown, he is the fastest foxy in town. He will have you in stitches with all his silly antics. Run him twice a day, and he will cheerfully cuddle up with his blankey on the lounge and chill for hours.
Sadly, life wasn’t always a joy for this boy. A very scared Mr. Peabody arrived in to our care both depressed and completely shutdown. It was obvious he had never felt the touch of a kind human hand; it was heart wrenching. Thankfully Mr. Peabody rallied, and with the help of his foster carer’s dogs, slowly discovered that being a foxy was actually lots of fun! In true foxy form, he enjoys ratting at the river, climbing rocks and racing around the doggy park and beach. He doesn’t care for balls or toys, but does enjoy the odd paper bag or two! He does march to the beat of his own drum, so will need an owner that sees the funny side of him running a muck! Sit on the grass with Mr. Peabody and he will embrace you with cuddles and gentle kisses. He has the dearest paws that he pops on your shoulders and clings to you like a little kangaroo.
We would like to see Mr. Peabody rehomed to a family that understands the foxy breed and personality. He does wear his heart on his sleeve, and can be sensitive. He is super shy on first meeting but once he checks you out, (and gives you a score out of 10) he will start showing off and expressing himself! Our boy would love a confident, easy going dog or two, to show him the way and be his forever buddy. Mr. Peabody would be best in a home with older, sensible children who understand that he does need his quiet time.
Mr. Peabody needs regular brushing as his hair does shed. He is toilet trained and uses a doggy door or similar.
Mr. Peabody is a house dog and must always have access to his castle.
Mr Peabody comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and he has had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Mr Peabody is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Mr Peabody, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - JACQUI
Jacqui’s foster carer is currently getting to know her, more information will be available soon.
Jacqui would love a home as an only dog providing her new family doesn’t leave her for long periods on her own. She is a house dog, is house trained and would love access to the couch at all times. Jacqui’s coat will grow and require ongoing grooming.
Jacqui comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested and she has had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Jacqui is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Jacqui, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - LECIA
BULL ARAB MIX
AGE: 18 WEEKS
Lecia is a beautiful puppy and will be a loyal loving companion to a person who has the time to train, exercise and play with her.
She had a rough start to life, found wandering the streets of Moree as a tiny puppy covered in fleas and starving. Lecia found care with a local foster group but is now living in Sydney in the hope that she will find a new home more easily.
Lecia is very willing to please and loves a cuddle on the couch more than anything else in life. Although fearful of new things, once shown its ok she learns to calm. After only having her for 2 weeks she has become a completely different dog, more confident in public and less scared of humans. Now at 18 weeks of age she has started going to dog parks and is submissive when meeting new people and dogs. Lecia likes a good run and chases after a ball or toy but hasn’t quite mastered playing fetch as she doesn’t want to return the ball to you.
Lecia must have regular daily exercise, good training and plenty to keep her occupied or she will become bored and destructive.
Lecia is a house dog requiring access when her humans are at home, good fencing is a must and hopefully a home with another male dog who is confident and will enjoy playing with a puppy.
Lecia is house trained, walks on the lead well, knows sit, stay (sort of), responds to her name and is not a fussy eater. Lecia is also learning to get in and out of the car.
Lecia comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $495. Lecia is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Lecia, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - BOWIE
Bowie is a very good looking dog and we appreciate that some people inquiring will be very taken by his looks. We ask that you look past his beautiful coat and very handsome face and concentrate on rehabilitating a dog who has had some seriously bad stuff happen to him in his previous life.
At the moment Bowie is having some issues adjusting to life in a normal household, he came from a hoarding situation and that has had a big impact on his life causing him to worry about things that he shouldn’t. Bowie is timid and does not want to spend a lot of time on a human lap, nor does he want to spend a lot of time in the company of the humans in his foster home. He prefers to hide away and enjoy his own company. Of course his foster family are working hard to show Bowie that his life can be enjoyable and very different to what it was before he came into care with our organisation. Bowie does enjoy going for walks and gave his carer a lick this morning which was a huge achievement for a little dog who is very unsure at the moment.
Please consider all things carefully before making an inquiry…..we will keep Bowie in care for as long as it takes to find the right home with a compassionate person/s who has the time and is prepared to work with Bowie.
Bowie comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention, he has also had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Bowie is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Bowie, please email Denise

ADOPT A DOG - MI AMOR
Mi Amor or Mia as she is known is a fantastic little dog. She loves children and any amount of attention that is available, she is house trained and walks beautifully on the lead. Mia uses a doggie door without any issues, she sleeps all night long on a blanket on the couch or in her doggie bed.
The ideal home for Mia will be with a retired couple who have plenty of time to spend with her and walk her, or a home with a family who have a couple of kids ranging from around 6 upwards who will want to spend time with Mia going on walks to the park or around the neighborhood.
While Mia lives with 3 other dogs she does prefer to be the one and only, she ignores other dogs when out on a walk and does live in harmony with my dogs but I can see that a single dog home is where she will be happiest.
Mia is a house dog requiring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access to a warm and cosy spot inside the house, she does not like being left outside so a doggie door or access via an open door is essential to keep this little princess happy. Mia has a lovely coat that does shed slightly but with regular brushing you wont see a lot of hair around the house.
I have thoroughly enjoyed having Mia as my foster dog, whoever adopts her will have a lovely new family member…..Denise
Mi Amor comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention, she has also had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Mi Amor is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Mi Amor, please email Denise
ADOPT A DOG - COCONUT
LONG HAIRED CHIHUAHUA
Coconut is new to her foster home so more information will be available as we get to know her a little better. In the meantime Coconuts foster carer has told us that she is doing extremely well, her house training is improving (she lived all of her previous life outside!) Coconut enjoys walking but as she is only tiny and has probably never been walked before short walks are all she is managing at the moment. Coconut gets along well with children, she loves a cuddle and is a real sweetheart.
The best home for Coconut will be as an only dog as she does prefer the single life. A home where she will always have access to indoors and be taken on short walks each day, and most importantly a home where she will get lots of cuddles on the couch. Coconuts coat will become unruly if she is not brushed and groomed regularly.
Coconut comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is on flea, worm and heartworm prevention, she has also had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Coconut is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Coconut please email Denise

ADOPT A DOG - PEACHY KEEN
Peachy is a gorgeous, energetic girl. She’s curious but timid and her confidence is growing every day. Peachy loves the dogs she is in foster care with and as she is only a young dog we want to rehome her with another small, playful dog for company because Peachy loves to play.
Peachy cuddles up on the sofa with her foster carer and loves all members of the family, young children may be to boisterous for her but a family with older children would be great. Peachy enjoys long walks with her foster family but can be a little afraid if she meets dogs who are much larger than she is.
Peachy responds well to vocal commands and answers to her new name, all in a week and a bit. We will never guarantee that our rescue dogs are good with pocket pets but Peachy is living with a free range rabbit and so far there have been no issues at all.
Peachy is a house dog and will require access to the home via a doggie door or similar. Her house training is coming along well, she does has a coat that will shed and require regular brushing and grooming.
